Goals for 2004
I just realized that, while I had posted a recap of my 2003 progress some time ago that included a couple of ideas, I’d never set down a comprehensive list of goals for 2004. So here we are:
Racing
- Finish every race that I enter
- PR at least once at every distance attempted
Stay injury free all yearFailed- Complete two marathons
- Perform the 2004 RunTex distance challenge
Working Out
- Bench press 10 reps of 150 lbs comfortably
- Run a single seven minute mile comfortably
- Do single arm triceps at 25 lbs comfortably
- Curl 10 reps of 35 lbs comfortably
General Fitness
- Drop 10 pounds to 170 or less
- Go from 16% to 12% body fat or less
- Add some swimming to my regular schedule
Let’s check back in six months and see how I’m doing.

Very cool blog. Glad to see you progressing nicely.
Btw, you’ve got the running thing down, I noticed the reference to a bike as well as to swimming. Ever thought of a triathlon? A sprint triathlon would be well within your grasp judging from what you have accomplished. Distances are typically .25mi swim, ~10mi bike and ~5K run.
I’ll have to add you to my blog listing. To end, I was like you and didn’t post my workouts until a few friends asked for it. Now I do.
Take care and keep running.
