No real change
Hmm. Well, in the two months since I was last measured, I haven’t signficantly changed at all. I’m 3 pounds lighter, but my body fat percentage is almost identical. My legs are smaller, thanks to the running, but there’s no real muscle growth anywhere. I decided to try taking three lessons with Rick, a trainer down at the gym. We’ll do two weeks of building “red” muscle fibers for strength and size, then two weeks of “white” for shape and endurance, then another two weeks of red, and see what’s going on at that point.
He said that my workout was probably pretty innefectual - he’s got a point, too. The gains that I’ve made since starting back in May can pretty much all be explained by increased mental ability and comfort. I’ve probably made some progress, but nowhere near the amount that I should for the level of effort that I’ve been putting out. We’re going to concentrate on upper body, and leave my lower body alone for now, since its in better condition already.
