The soreness starts
Well, its been 6 hours (+/-) since my shot, and I guess the anesthetic is wearing off. My knee feels a little warm, and a little sore, as if I’d been working out with it all day long. There’s a small amount of pain around the injection site as well. I’m going to ice it, but I don’t think its serious enough to warrant any concern. Dr. McCarty said it might get sore and, well, she was right again.
Its worth mentioning that my leg is feeling better, overall, than it has in quite a while. Its interesting how much discomfort you can just learn to deal with. On the one hand, I have the soreness form the shot - on the other hand, in general mobility I’m already seeing some improvement in areas that I didn’t realize were handicapped. This is a great sign for my prospects come Sunday.
Assuming that the soreness is purely short-term, at least.
