Ahhh… good pain…
That was nice. I just got back from my last pre-marathon massage. My upper body was tighter than normal, probably a result of the swimming and weight training that I’ve been doing. My legs are getting better, with hot spots on the inside of my right calf (taken care of) and some residual on the left hamstring.
I don’t know if I’m at 100% when it comes to relaxation, but I do know that I’m an order of magnitude better than when I started going to Kimberly. My right leg is feeling pretty good; its still a bit swollen from the injection, but isn’t too tender. My glutes are loosening up, and everything is just coming together.
I’ve decided not to do that extra run today, since my knee is still somewhat sore and I want to make sure that I don’t hurt it today. I’ve got an hour of swimming later on anyway. This means that the next time I lace my Sacuonys on, it’s going to be the Big Day. The Real Thing. The 13th running of the Motorola Marathon.
I think that Sunday will be just fine.
