Upper Body
Took a late lunch and hooked up with Marcus for the Friday Workout. We went back to the basics, and had a pretty good time - we decided to stay with dumbells for the most part. So after a quick 10 minute elliptical warmup (137 cal) I did:
Bench press: 40, 47.5, 47.5
Incline press: 3×35
Bicep negatives: 3×42.5
Shoulder press: 3×30
Tricep (machine): 60, 70, 60
Flies (machine): 100, 110, 110
Bent over rows: 3×47.5
Anterior shoulder: 3×20
Got a pretty nice burn doing it too. I’ve definitely slipped some compared to my last dumbell workout, but I think I’ll be getting the strength back (and then some) in the weeks to come. Dumbells really do give more of a full body workout than machines or even the bars do - so many ancillary muscles get involved.
