I was planning on doing the News 8K next weekend, and the Dublin Dr Pepper 10K after that. I don’t think that I will, though. I’ve been racing a lot lately, and I want to get some more long slow runs in before I officially start training for the fall. I am still doing the Urban Assult race on the 20th, but that’s 98% biking. Something else I need to get more practice with over the next few weeks!

I may do a 5K at the end of the month - the Luling Watermelon Thump is coming up - but I probably won’t do it at maximum effort if I do. Its a race of opportunity, something I’ll do if and only if my wife and I end up at the festival anyway.

Oh - and I found out that the NYC lottery will take place at 4pm EST on Wednesday, June 16th. Here’s hoping that entry #32890 will come up… At the moment, there entry number 73,999 is the last one in the database (Thomas Moran of Chicago, IL), but that looks like a suspiciously round number to me. Still, that’s between a 1:2 and a 1:3 chance of success for one of the domestic slots. Either way, its fun to be in the game.
