Pre-riding leg two
We met up at 7pm and did about 14 miles today, a little more than half of the total race distance for Sunday and including both of our long stages. It took us two hours, but that was riding slowly and doing some backtracking with lots of pauses to check maps, run alternates, etc. I’m thinking that we can get the whole race down to more like 22 miles, but I really haven’t worried about it. We’ll do what we have to do when the time comes.
I won’t go into too much detail just in case somebody’s googling for ideas, but I’ll post our full course after the race has finished. I’m really thinking that we’ve got a very solid plan here, and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for us on the day. I need to start watching my diet and hydration now to make sure that I’m 100% during the race.
