Spin
I decided to take a page out of Martin’s book today for my spin class. I did everything as fast and as hard as I could - and then turned the resistance up. I don’t train with a HRM, but by the last sprint I was most definately anerobic. Even sitting here 10 minutes later, I can feel my brain sluggishly trying to come back from exercise nirvana.
Awesome.
I’d really like to do this twice a week - or more - if I can work it into my schedule so that it doesn’t interfere with my important running practice. That’ll only put it 12 hours away from speedwork though, which may or may not be a good thing. I did have a thought while I was spinning though - why doesn’t someone figure out how to adapt spinning to a running motion? I’d love a treadmill workout with a whole bunch of people all doing the quick adaptations together…
Also, Chris has a good thread going about the reactions of the Nouveau Mince to those around them (alright, us) who are stuck in the same ruts that we escaped from. Watch out, this may get ugly…

That really does sound fun. I was going to try one Wednesday morning, but I was so beat after 4 days of running in a row (including a race) that I decided I had earned a rest day instead!
