Workout
Today’s was a pretty basic workout. Did five minutes on the bike to warm up, and then hit the weights. The goal was to take it fairly easy, just get back into the rhythm of things, and try to relax a little:
Bench press: 3 sets of 10 reps at 110lbs
Wide grip pulldown: 3 sets of 10 reps - 100lbs, 120lbs, 100lbs
Bicep curls: 75lbs, 10 reps, 6 reps, 4 reps
Tricep pulldowns: 3 sets of 10 reps at 50lbs
Shoulder curls - front, side, down, up, down - 3 sets of 10 reps at 10lbs
Flies - 2 sets of 10 reps at 100lbs
Crunches - 2 sets of 25 each of left/center/right
Back curls - 2 sets of 25, second with 10lbs
Nothing fancy, just getting a little warmth going and working out the kinks. Not that today felt like a terribly good lifting day anyway…

I’d like to get a set of weights. Too many kids to have a gym membership. Although, I got a nice flyer from the Y.

One nice thing about Austin is that the gyms are crappy, but cheap. You can get into gold’s for $18-20/mo with nothing up front and no contract. Their not half the gym that 24hour is, but they are half the price, and you have the advantage that most of your friends who have memberships have ‘em at gold’s…
More than the weights though, its the free classes. Spin, yoga, etc, are all included there, but cost extra at the Y.
