Crappy spin class
Well, this was my first really bad spin class. Jenn was out sick, and whoever we had as a replacement - she never did give her name - was pretty bad. Hard to understand, not a very good leader when we did understand her, and no sense of pace - she’d change CDs in the middle of a song, and her ‘bounce’ intervals were arythmic to an extreme - not intentionally, either.
Ah, well. I ended up making it a decent workout, but if that had been my first spin class I doubt I’d have ever come back for another one. Most of us just kinda did our own thing, about 70% following along with what she wanted - when we could figure it out. I wasn’t going to do spin today anyway, what with tomorrow morning being speedwork, but my bud Marcus called me up and invited me, so I figured what the hell. I had missed yesterday’s class due to my feeling sick, after all.
Tomorrow morning will be interesting - I’m planning on doing this workout again, except that I’ll get five hill reps in. I’m also going to run to and from South 1st, so that will give me about 2.5 miles each way for warmup and cooldown, plus three miles of hill running in between. Should be fun!
