Long Distance Meetings
Sigh - sometimes I think I need a “Not running” category. I had a meeting up in Dallas today which, while it wasn’t (quite) an all day affair, became so once you add in seven hours of driving to and from. So what does that mean? Basically that I’ll do seven miles tomorrow and Thursday, my elliptical workout on Thursday evening, and a more serious upper/lower body workout on Friday.

Catching up on the blog-reading…so this comment is in response to a couple of your posts:
Great 20-miler! That distance is just so daunting (to me anyway, having only tackled it once) and you handled it with ease. I’ll be asking you for training tips in about a month or so!
And before a long run, I fuel up like MAD. Pasta for dinner the night before. A bowl of oatmeal before bed…then another bowl in the morning, with some pb toast and banana. And gatorade. I try to eat an hour or more before the run.
