Longer Run with Friends
This was nice. A couple of the other folk working over here from Austin are runners, so I hooked up with them and we headed off to the Elbe. I’d done a little river running before, but this time we went almost due South from the Steigenberger and turned right at the river, clocking off 3 miles at a varied pace, easy, between 9:30 and 10:00. We turned around at that point and headed back about 80% of the way home, then cut North and ran up to the Spitzhausteppes. I got about 300 steps up before walking this time. We looped back around, finishing with the same loop I did the first time I ran here, for about 9 miles total.
More good news - one of the guys I was running with had a Forerunner, so I leant him mine overnight and its now fully charged. Cool! Now I’ll have some GPS maps from England to go with my German ones.

Hey, those steps sound pretty rough. 300? Whew!
Lucky you on the Forerunner. I hadn’t thought about you needing the conversion kit to charge it. Keep in contact with that guy!

hehe…it’s cool to zoom out on the topo software and see dots all over the country, let alone all over the globe!
