The London Canal
London is a damn fine place to run. Hell, its a pretty great place for almost everything, with the possible exception of stargazing at night. I’m staying in Kensel Rise (NW10), and decided to go out for a nice long run down to the canal. I forget its name, but anyway. It was about a mile South of me, and I did a comfortable warmup getting down there, then turned left and headed towards Paddington Station.
I’ll blog a map with more details later when I can download my run, but it was a wonderful time. Great weather, shorts-and-longsleeve in May if you can believe it, and a very comfortable low-stress environment. I ended up doing about seven miles: over to Paddington, then turning around and heading West to some kind of train depot, then back again. Total mileage was about nine and a half, with an average running pace of ~8:45.
Did I mention that London was a good place to run?
