Running Towards Fitness

Personal Awareness
The ancient Greeks used to believe that a healthy mind and a healthy body not only went together, but were both critical for happiness and a successful life. They were also intertwined, meaning that a weakness in either area would affect the other. When I started this transformation I was overweight and full of excuses. And by overweight I don't mean just a few pounds - I weighed over 70 pounds more than I do now. I finally took my life into my own hands and started exercising. At the time, I had no idea where it would lead - to a stronger body, a happier, more nimble mind, and a chest full of race medals. Healthy mind, healthy body, indeed! It hasn't been easy, or without issues, but I wouldn't trade the experience for the world.

ForeRunner 201 for Sale (SOLD)

Update: Currently sold - or at least contract pending.

Want to buy a used ForeRunner 201? I’m selling mine, and I’ll take the first $45 that comes my way. There’s a catch, though - the charger doesn’t work. But that’s okay.

Here’s my math. A new 201 costs $125 - at least, that’s the best price I can find for it right now online. I figure that I’d sell mine for half that, or $63. You can buy a charger online for $17, so $63-17=45. You pay shipping.

Other than the charger flaking out on me, probably due to rough baggage handling on my recent trip to Germany, it works great. I’ve never had a problem with the GPS itself. In fact, the only reason that I’m selling it is that I just ordered myself a 301. Any takers? Comment or email ( myFirstName@thisWebsite.com ) if you’re interested.

  1. oh, you SUCK!

i’d been thinking about doing the exact same thing, but with all the problems my 201 has given me (i’m on my 4th unit), i doubt i’d have any takers.

a co-worker just got a 301 and she loves it. and reminds me of that nearly every day.

    did i mention you suck?

    =)

I just got mine back from the Garmin Medical Unit. Seems to be working now. They had to replace it actually. I might be on the wagon for a 301 semi-soon myself.

  3. I am extremely tempted to take you up on your offer, but living on a college student budget leaves me with NO extra money. If you don’t sell it by December (graduation) we’ll have to talk for sure.

  4. Opps–I didn’t see the “Update”. I hope the new owner enjoys it!
