Seven Miles Easy
This was a very relaxed run. Gilbert told me to do the seven mile loop easy because of my race, and for once I was able to do just that. The others began picking up the pace two miles out, and while a few of them took off there was another group pulling out more slowly that I was greatly tempted to stay with - so I actually stopped, went to the bathroom, and got a drink before heading out again to force myself to run at my own pace. I averaged a 9:30 running pace for the loop, which was about right I think. Nothing was terribly sore, a good sign but not a complete surprise: I was fairly tired from the travelling, but really didn’t put forth a total effort this weekend. I finished up with five strides and called it a day.
