Thanks!
Thanks to everyone who’s sent me well wishes for tomorrow’s race. They’re all appreciated, believe me. And thanks to Carrie, Shawn, Jason, Stephanie, and Thon for joining me for the traditional pasta dinner tonight. It was entertaining and informative (did you know that ziti with ketchup was a good pre-race meal? I know I didn’t).
Tomorrow’s weather is, to put it mildly, cold. Let me toss some perspective out there. Earlier this week we were setting record highs in the mid 80s. Tomorrow’s forecast is:
7am (start): 32 degrees
8am: 32 degrees
9am: 32 degrees
10am: 33 degrees
Yup. I’m thinking that a long sleeved shirt is in my future. Now why couldn’t AUS and NYC have averaged out and given me two 48 degree days? Oh, well. At least we’ll have a tailwind for most of the course, and some good incentive not to let it catch up with us.
