That’s more like it
Adam was back today and, unlike Monday’s class where we were left to our own devices, he drilled us mercilessly. The highlighted exercise for the day? Leg lifts: lay down, pull your head up, lift your legs 6″ off the ground (knees locked), and hold ‘em there. We did, I think, five minutes. And that was just the first of many leg exercises. My quads were a-shaking before we were through, literally, although this morning’s hill-work probably had more than a little to do with that, as did the unshaded 97 degree heat. One nice thing was that Adam kept giving us positive messages and advice, and it really helped (although I’m sure some people thought it was cheesy). Upper body still weak, of course. But getting stronger. Although the double-set of 55 slow-cadence pushups (one standard, one decline) may have had something to do with my post-workout exhaustion too.
