Nothing To See Here…
I haven’t done squat (or squats for that matter) since last Friday’s Fila Relays. No long run on Saturday, no pace run on Monday, and no recovery run today. I’ve just been too busy, or too tired from being busy. That gives me all of 21 miles for last week. This week we have a 20-22 miler scheduled that I need to make, because I don’t want to get out of sync or go a whole month without a long run. I’m planning on doing the scheduled 400M repeats tomorrow morning (16-20 of them) and a 7-8 mile recovery run on Thursday, which will put me at about 35 for the week. That’s slipping, but I don’t want to go crazy after a screwed-up week like this past one.
I also didn’t do Jack’s Generic triathlon on Monday morning, but for a stupider reason; I forgot to pick up my packet and the website was pretty adamant about not doing race-day pickup. Considering that I realized this fact at about midnight on Sunday night when I was just starting to pack my Felt into the Element, I just threw up my hands and went to bed. Could I have talked ‘em into giving me my entry? Probably, but its not like I’ve done 20 of their races in the past and know everyone involved.
