Fun Walk
Walking is one of the few exercises that I can do that’s essentially “unmetered,” even in recovery. That means that I can get some benefit without pushing myself too hard and triggering a nastygram from my Doctor. In light of this, I decided that it would be fun to walk with my wife as she’s doing some of her shorter distances leading up to the half marathon. She did about 7.5 miles, I did more like a 6.4 miler that included a stop at Starbucks on 6th and Congress and a rest while she went down across the river to the trail and over to South First, doing some running along the way. It was good exercise, great company, and we averaged about a 16:00 pace.
