Another hilly 3 miles
Except that this time I wore my GPS/HRM, to get an idea of how I was doing, and found out that it was only 2.84 miles. Still a decent hill workout for me at this point.
My heart rate is certainly higher than it used to be. I’m averaging about 160 bpm with minor hills, and the tall ones are kicking me up to 175-180. That’s what taking several months off from running will do to you. What I am happy about is that I’m recovering quickly after the hills are over; that’s very important, and the overall impact will go down over time.
Another nice thing is that just as each mile got hillier, each mile got faster as well. Now all I have to do is to get the overall time down to something more reasonable, and I’ll be even happier.
